ABOUT US

The Broadway Area Residents Association (BARA) is a local non-profit and non-partisan volunteer residents’ organization that was established in May 2023. 

We represent residents within the boundaries of the Mt. Hope Cemetary to the north, Eglinton Avenue East to the south, Cardiff Road to the west, and Bayview Avenue to the east (see map below). 

We are bordered by our neighbours to the east by the Leaside Residents' Association and the Bayview Broadway Good Planning group, the south by the South Eglinton Davisville Resident's Association, and the number of street associations that have been formed to oppose specific planning applications.

BARA is located in one of the original communities within the town of North Toronto, characterized by its unique blend of old and new homes located in a treasured urban forest. Our vision is a unique and sustainable community with a multi-fold mission:

• To advocate on behalf of the residents of our community
• To communicate relevant issues to our membership
• To preserve, protect, and enhance our natural environment and the health and well-being of our residents
